Traveling throughout the world as a child due to her father's Air Force career, Diana's exposure to a variety of countries and cultures gave her a rich background of experiences, preparing Diana for her present day career as an author.
SCIENCE--After living in Austin, Texas, Diana moved south to Houston where she became one of the first women geophysicists in the oil and gas business. Putting her scientific career on hold to raise a family, Diana had time to study another field of interest--prehistory, history, and early cultures.
THE MAYA--In 1989 Diana became interested in Mesoamerican archaeology. She followed the careers of Mayanists, Linda Shele in particular. To research her first book Diana traveled to Tikal, Guatemala--a magnificent, historical locale. Some of her real life experiences during her visit became part of her book, Ninth Lord of the Night.
WRITING--Always interested in writing, Diana finally realized her dream of becoming a novelist. She even founded The Final Twist, the Houston chapter of Sisters in Crime, and served as President for two years (2004-2005). Dedicated to helping other aspiring writers, Diana often gives lectures and mini workshops on writing techniques.
